This little guy is sure the light in Grandpa's eye. Barrett asks me daily if I have talked to Ashley and then asks if we can call just to hear this little guys voice.

Barrett is an awesome Dad and of course an awesome Grandpa as well.

I love to see Barrett light up when he see little JJ, they play so cute together and have become best buds, It's really no wonder JJ get so excited when his sees Geepa also.

POP ROCKS and my dumb camera!

This is all I have of my last trip to Oregon cuz my camera had a seizure and lost all my photos and video! I am glad I got this though, cuz that JJ is too cute no matter what! Kami was feeding him some Pop Rocks so if you turn up the volume you can hear them. He also sings a little of the song popcorn popping on the apricot tree.

Oregon was beautiful!

Barrett and I had the pleasure of escaping to Oregon to visit our wonderful and very missed kids Ashley & Johnny this past weekend. (and of course that more than delicious little of boy of theirs JJ, My bug!!) We had such a wonderful time, we spent Friday afternoon with Ashley and JJ at the Air museum, and oh did we have some laughs. JJ loved the airplanes and even had the opportunity of climbing into one of the old plane cockpits, I have posted a little video of JJ's little moment, he was enjoying the old 50s' music. On Saturday we made our way out to the beach and the Tillamook dairy. The beach was definitely a highlight in our trip... JJ sure loves the "waddy." Johnny, being a very perceptive daddy, knew that even in cold weather, it would be hard not to let JJ get in the water, so he bought a little wet suit to keep him warm. Oh wow that little boy had a ton of fun. Johnny was so cute helping JJ to surf with his little paddle board and we all helped him find sand crabs. Barrett and JJ spent some quality time doing some male bonding, by wrestling on the floor, on Sunday afternoon, I wish I had been able to get more pictures of that...Barrett missed out on a lot of the ruff housing little boy stuff, being a father of three little girls. Well all in all we had a really great time and we sure appreciate Johnny and Ash for letting us come for a visit. Thanks guys!!

OK Ashley, I guess you tagged me...GEEEZ LOUIS!! I'm just not that good at this.

1. What time do I wake up? Well between 6:00am and 7:00am, it depends on which alarm goes off first, the little clock radio or the two little black furry ones that have to go out to potty so stinken early in the morning! (Bo and Onyx)

2. What time do I go to bed? Hummmm.... well there really isn't a specific time, I climb into bed about 10:00 or 11:00pm and watch T.V. until I'm out, for the most part, which means 12:00am-1:00am, it all depends on how interesting the program is on the History channels or Discovery Health channel.
3. How long have I been a Mom? Wow I'm Old....I have been a Mom for 22 years, 2 months and 15 days. I have also been a Grandma for 20 whole months now. Yeh!!

4. How old where you when you became a Mom? A very young 20 years of age. I gave birth to my wonderful daughter Ashley and 13 months later, at the age of 21 years, I became a mother of my beautiful twin daughters Lindsey and Kami....and no, I don't regret it in the least!!

5. What is your favorite Kids movie? I guess it would have to be Toy Story... cuz I relate to the toys, they remind me of what I played with as a child, but I love so many children's movies.

6. What is my least favorite Kids movie? Hummm.... I have no idea... I really love a lot of kids movies but if you ask me which kids T.V. show I like least, it would be Barney...that show drives me crazy!!

7. What is my favorite chore? Does anyone really have a favorite chore? I guess I would have to say yard work, cuz it really is very therapeutic...that is once i get myself going of course.

8. What is your favorite meal to cook? I would have to say pot roast. it's easy and it's a comfort food for me.... you know... that good old down home cookin kind.

9. What do I cook most often? that would be Creamy Italian Chicken over rice, it is so very easy to make and everyone seems to pretty much love it.

10. What is my Kids favorite meal? Hands down it's my Sesame Beef... that is what my kids beg for me to make and I really do love it also...but...it is sooo time consuming...awesome...but time consuming.

11. What is my favorite thing my hubby does with the kids? Definitely TRAVEL! Barrett loves to take his girls on trips and we have had some of our best times together traveling. I have no doubt that my girls would agree that some of their best memories have been on some of our trips as a family. they have been to the Bahamas, Mexico, on a Caribbean cruise, a Mexico cruise, the Outer Banks, various States along the East coast and a number of state throughout the country. We have been very fortunate!!

12. Five things that make me smile as a Mom? well first I love it when my girls get along and are kind with one another, second I love it when they put time into building their personal testimonies, third when they tell me they love me and show me affection, fourth when I know my children are making good life choices (I wish that could be all the time!!!) and fifth is when my daughter gives me such adorable grand babies!

13. If I could take my kids anywhere, where would that be? I think I would have to say to a poor foreign country, like Guatemala or Bolivia, where we could do one of those humanitarian type trips, I believe that the experience would be so invaluable for all of us.

14. When was the last time you went out with your hubby without kids? Well...let me think...OH YA ...all the time... he he he... Barrett and I get to spend a lot of time together just the two of us and we love it!

15. What is my favorite pass time with my kids? That would have to be lunch, shopping and movies, but...when my daughters where small we did a lot of exploring together, we spent time in the mountains on hikes and discovering nature, going to museums and playing in parks. I totally loved spending time with my girls!!!

16. One thing I said I would never do as a mother? I promised myself I would not hit my children and call them names, like stupid or lazy, things like that. I never wanted my children to question my love for them. I feel like I lived up to that pretty much, although you would have to ask my children if I did the job well enough... I guess. Being a Mother is definitely hard!!

17. What is my favorite quality in my own Mother? That would have to be my mothers thirst for knowledge in books, you could always find my mother reading a new church book and I find that a very admirable quality and such a great example. She also has many talents and she made it a point of using her talents, such as, she is the best seamstress I know and is extremely talented in art. She is definitely the one I inherited my drawing skills from and I love my mother very much!

18. What would be my advice to a new Mother? Enjoy every moment, the good and the bad. Time with your child is shorter than you think! If you spend too much time on other things, you will miss it. The few years you have will be gone before you know it and they will have grown and moved away!

19. What is one of your scariest moments as a Mom? I've had a few really... My daughter Kami was about 10 years old when we had to have emergency surgery on her Eye socket, she had a large mass in her head that was pushing he eyeball out. The Doctors were not sure if it was a tumor or not, they had to get her into surgery to find out. That is most definitely the worst feeling a parent could have when you begin to realize that you could lose a child at such a young age.(Your children are just not suppose to die before you.) We were of course fortunate to have had the best results possible and it was a mass of sterile puss. Then... we unfortunately went through it once again, a few years later, when the Doctors found a very large mass in my daughter Ashley's abdomen. and unfortunately this time they knew it was a large tumor. We of course, once again, sat on pins and needle throughout the long painful surgery, waiting for the results. All I can say is that we were once again very blessed to find that even though it was a very large teratoma tumor, it was benign! I pray we never have to go through it again and so far my Lindsey has not yet scared us with such things and I hope, for her sake, she never has reason to go through it herself. Please stay healthy Lindz.

20. What is one of your most joyful moments as a mother? you mean...besides giving birth to all three of my beautiful daughters? It would have to be when my first daughter was married for time and all eternity, in the Temple, to a wonderful and worthy man!!

21. When was the last time you were told "I Love You! " by one of your kids? Well it was only a moment ago, by my lovely daughter Kami and I love her too!!! I am a lucky Mother to have daughters who tell me they love me and show me a ton of affection on a regular basis.Thank you girls! I love you more than you could ever possibly know!

Chasing the ducks..

We had just feed the ducks and know J.J. has a bit of fun scarring the crap out of them.
These are pictures from the day Ash & Johnny left. "soooo soooo sad are we..."

Playing in the "waddy"

Here is my little bug with his Mommy and Daddy in our hot tub just before leaving. J.J. so loves what he calls "waddy" (that's J.J.neese for water). We have found that J.J. has some addictions, one being the movie cars, which he calls "vroom vroom", and the other is his obsession with the "waddy"! That kid is too cute for words!
